Houston At Your Home Newborn Photographer | Newborn Penelope

Most people are always so surprised to find out that I can do the newborn session in their own home.  I think it is such a bonus, especially for the new mom.  As a parent I know that one of the last things you want to do is take your baby anywhere but home!  I will bring my studio and props to you!

Meet Sweet little Penelope.  She slept through the whole session and all the photos are just gorgeous!  This session was done in the T.V room at the grand parent’s house.  It was mom and dad’s first baby and they are already pros and so comfortable working with her.

Katy Newborn Photographer – Newborn Tristian

Not all babies sleep through the whole session and Newborn Tristian was one of them.  I was lucky to get some great awake shots where he is showing of his beautiful brown eyes.  I also love all the photos where he is lying snug in his dad’s arms.  They grow up so quickly and these moments are so special. His mom left a wonderful review on my facebook page saying my husband called her the baby whisperer”.  I love working with these little babies!

Newborn Baby Photographer Houston | Newborn Josiah

Josiah was such a sweet little newborn to work with and so extremely sleepy.   He is the first born to very proud parents and just look at all that hair!

Dad wanted some skin on skin shots with little Josiah and I just adore the the black and white photos!  I love to include siblings or parents in the newborn photos, especially because they get big so quickly!  Some times the moms don’t want to be part of the session but I always encourage them, even if it is just one photo.  These first days are so special and it will pass so quickly! When your kids are older it is such a strange feeling to look at their newborn photos, because it will even feel like the same kid anymore.  At lease you will have beautiful professional photos to look at and remind you how tiny they once were.

Birth Photography Katy

Birth Photography Katy| Sonja Ferreira Photography

I was so excited when Keely asked me to capture her birth and hospital photos.  This was going to be the first time I do a birth photo session. There was some complications and Keely had to get a emergency c-section.  Unfortunately this hospital only allowed one person into the delivery room and I was stuck in the waiting area.  These special moments with newborn Korbin and his family were in the recovery room.  It was so beautiful to see all the emotions and love from everyone to this new tiny little baby.  I definitely want to do birth photos in the future!

Welcome to the world Korbin xx
